MEETING: August 23 at the Cody Senior Citizen Center, Cody,
7:00 pm DINNER DINERS: Sunset House at 5:30pm. Thanks to Jan Wilbur for reserving a table. WHAT TO BRING TO THE MEETING Flower print fat quarter (all colors) for the monthly drawing. YQF Coloring Blocks - Those of you who took home the white blocks & tracing patterns, please bring them to the August meeting. If you don't have time to do the tracing, just bring the blank blocks & patterns. We have to have them ready for YQF. Thanks for your help, Ann Jefferis Bring a friend (the more the merrier). Bring and Brag: Bring your quilts for Show & Tell. Members and guests are encouraged to bring their finished (and unfinished) projects to meetings to show to others. FROM OUR PRESIDENT Have you seen the landscape quilts at the library? Visit the Cody library sometime in Aug and be amazed. ABC quilt is still not hung at the Park County Cody Library. Waiting on quilt holder to be made and hung. I’ll let you know the details as they are relayed to me. I have the quilt carefully kept at my home until that time. Round robin continues the month of August. Who has Ann Trosper’s original start? I’d like to connect with you and do my row ---- please let me know asap for August yet. Who wants Laura Lee Mangun’s round robin? I have it and it is ready for someone to add yet this month of August. Who didn't get one? Contact me to make arrangements to get it. Thanks. Evelyn 587-5930 or 272-5148 Challenge 2011 starts on Monday the 23rd. Each of you will receive a bag of quilt squares and have a chance to create something for the surprise. In August we will deduct your points only one time during the entire challenge --- 15 points. BINGO for our fun night needs some fun prizes. Have you
wrapped a quilt related item to bring as the game progresses?
You may "purchase" as many bingo cards as you like at a cost of
15 points per play. We are hoping everyone will participate a
couple of times ---- great way to use your points and join in
the fun. If you want to bring your "gift" unwrapped that will
add more interest to the game. No taking of gifts once they are
chosen by the winner ---- yours to keep. We will continue to
play each game until we have a minimum of three winners. |
