| The
Paintbrush Piecers Quilt Guild is a group of over
50 active
members who share a love of quilting and all it entails. Generally the members meet
in a restaurant in the area before each meeting for dinner and fellowship. Several
potluck dinners are held during the year. Special activities include the following:
- Bring & Brag - Members are
encouraged to bring their projects to meetings to show to other members.
- Challenge - A yearly
challenge is offered by the Challenge committee, with details in the
Program Books.. The Challenge quilts are displayed at the Cody Arts
League in the Spring.
- Newsletter - The Guild
newsletter is published once a month and mailed or emailed to you.
Contact Terri Lange if you have anything you would like to see included in the newsletter.
- Points - Guild members
"earn" and "spend" points for various guild activities. There
are two types of points: participation points and scholarship points.
Details in the Program Books.
- Workshops - These may
be service workshops to put raffle quilts together. Quilts are
then given to the hospitals and local charities.
- Secret sisters - Secret sisters
are picked from those wishing to participate. Small gifts/letters are exchanged
throughout the year until the Secret sister is revealed in January.
The Paintbrush Piecers Quilt Guild
was founded in 1987 by four friends who have watched the club grow to over
50 members. |
